ok

so I have a lot of ground to cover.

i have been absent for obvious reasons. i hope my loyal readership will forgive me (basically Lori).

i don't really have any minutiae to pontificate about- and sometimes covering major life events covered via blog can become seemingly trite or unimportant when they are neither.

so i'm left wondering where to start catching you up on life. i guess I can summarize- right?

so the summary is:

i'm mad about some stuff.
i'm sad about some stuff.
and
i'm happy about some stuff.

hey- there's worse things than being vague.

i'm hoping to install the DSL at home this weekend- which means I will be back in the swing of things.

i am looking forward to a couple of things this summer.

namely:
:: my friend Cydney is getting married on the 4th of July in downtown Chicago. i've never been to a Jewish wedding and i'm highly looking forward to it.
:: i'm looking forward to more reading. i got out of the swing of it there for the last six months.
:: my garden is doing smashingly and i'm excited about the many salads is will provide us
:: i'm looking forward to settling into our apartment. we?re far from done.
:: i'm looking forward to seeing my mom who?s been in Alaska the better portion of the month. i miss her!
:: i'm hoping that we can goto NYC over Labor day.

as for our weekend... i think we will spend a significant portion of the weekend here.

chewable vitamin

nothing disciplines the inordinate desires of the flesh like service, and nothing transforms the desires of the flesh like serving in hiddenness. the flesh whines against services but screams against hidden service. it strains and pulls for honor and recognition. it will devise subtle, religiously acceptable means to call attention to service rendered. if we stoutly refuse to give in to this lust of the flesh, we crucify it. every time we crucify the flesh, we crucify our pride and arrogance.
